James McAvoy is opening up about his refusal to marketing campaign to win an Oscar which ended in him no longer scoring a nod for his paintings on Atonement (2007).

In an interview with British GQ, McAvoy stated that he noticed first-hand what it took for Woodland Whitaker to land his main actor Oscar for his paintings on The Final King of Scotland, a movie each actors starred in.
